Mushy

 

you know it doesn’t have to be today

as long as you know all my days are yours

from this moment through all my tomorrows

from the first whisper until I must say

I love you in my final dying hour

could our love ever have that kind of power?

 

you know I never thought I would find this

after all the times I’ve tried and failed

but I believe with open eyes I see

there’s something here that I have always missed

a certainty that makes all others pale

a love like ours will know no enemy.

 

and so I say I love you more each day

and time is but a stronger bond we share

as we build our hopes and dreams side by side

we will conquer whatever comes our way.

I entrust my heart and soul to your care

my love for you will always be my pride.
