Prayer for Disunity

Prayer for Disunity

She entices me with aromatic bedevilment,

me, a primitive pretender priest,

secretly segregated.

An incomparable matchstick in a

greater conflagration, but even I

burn continentally.

A valedictory isolation merits only

misdirected loneliness, and no

hermit can budge in line.

So I don spindly woolens and repent,

of this arrogant coldness, and

petition all that is holy for a unified soul.
