Purple's Platitudes

nothing but words …

waits

30 August 2013

waits

I hate the way the blinking cursor waits

as if it has nothing better to do

except just wait, and wait, and wait, and wait

proving again patience is a virtue.

No pressure,

it blinks,

waits,

receptive …

and I am left to stare into chaos,

to wait for those primordial commands

"Let there be …" words, something besides nothing.

I hate the way the blinking cursor waits.
