Purple's Platitudes

nothing but words …

thematic

18 May 2014

purple’s too pale, more like lavender;

but darker shades I cannot see.

Afraid to change appearances,

I pretend that all’s the same.

No one notices me,

soul behind these words,

back on display –

metaphor

for my

life.

  3. You’re easy on the eyes, Michael. Your soul’s words never go unnoticed. I have often wondered about your blog’s name.

    • I laughed for a while, then when I could breathe again, I realized you might even be serious 🙂 You made my day/night!

      Purple, deep, dark, royal purple has always been my fav color and my online ID for over twenty years. It has many meanings, the color but I like its association with Wisdom and Royalty, but as Lourde sings, we will never be royals … thanks Audrey for your kind words.
